Team & Advisors
This section introduces the core team and advisors.
Aporia is built by a team that combines deep operational experience in high-performance exchange infrastructure with first-principles expertise in blockchain market microstructure. The founding team has directly operated within the top tier of centralised crypto exchange engineering and brings that institutional understanding of what high-performance trading infrastructure requires — applied for the first time to a non-custodial, parallel-native architecture.
Founding Team
Roger Jiang — Founder & CEO
Roger brings over 15 years of experience across traditional finance, business development, and Web3 venture building. He served as Business Development lead at BBAY Exchange, a trade-to-earn crypto exchange, where he gained direct operational experience in exchange growth, market liquidity strategy, and token ecosystem design. Prior to Aporia, Roger founded Oort Digital, a crypto gaming and NFT rental ecosystem, taking a Web3 product from concept to launch. At Aporia, Roger leads strategy, ecosystem development, fundraising, and market maker partnerships. His core conviction — that most exchanges optimise throughput while ignoring execution risk — is the founding thesis of the protocol.
William Deng — CTO & Co-Founder
William is the architect of Aporia's technical stack. He previously served as Senior Engineer at Bitget, a top-10 global cryptocurrency exchange by volume, where he built and maintained high-performance trading infrastructure at institutional scale. Before Bitget, William was Senior Software Engineer at Kikitrade and Yeahmobi, and served as Deputy Project Director at Ping An of China. He also brings over six years of project management experience in digital transformation solutions at Digital China Group. At Aporia, William leads the full technical architecture: matching engine, off-chain core, on-chain settlement layer, and the Phase 2 EigenFlow integration. His direct experience at Bitget scale informs every design decision in the protocol.
Core Engineering Team
Wayne — Lead Backend Engineer / Trading Engine
Wayne has over a decade of experience in financial systems and payments infrastructure. He has built core backend systems at Digital China and China Resources Digital, with deep specialisation in high-performance trading engines and latency-sensitive financial data pipelines. At Aporia, Wayne leads the implementation of the matching engine, ledger, risk system, and settlement orchestrator — the operational core of the off-chain protocol.
Dawid — Lead Frontend Engineer
Dawid brings over 15 years of experience building Web3 products and high-traffic real-time systems. He specialises in real-time frontend architecture and has built interfaces that have engaged more than five million users. Most recently, Dawid served as Senior Tech Lead at Collibra, where he led enterprise-grade frontend engineering for a globally distributed user base. At Aporia, Dawid leads the trading interface, real-time order book display, and the professional market maker dashboard.
Ali — UI/UX Designer
Ali is a cross-industry design specialist with six-plus years of experience spanning AR/VR, gaming, and blockchain applications, currently also contributing to AR interface design at VRBoostAgency. At Aporia, Ali leads the visual design system and user experience architecture across all client-facing surfaces — with a focus on building a professional trading interface that matches institutional-grade standards.
Godswill — Community & Ecosystem Lead
Godswill is an experienced ecosystem builder with a background as Community Manager at Alchemy, one of the leading Web3 developer platforms. He brings deep experience in developer community engagement, ecosystem growth, and builder-facing communications. At Aporia, Godswill leads community building across the Kaspa ecosystem, market maker outreach, and trader community development as the protocol approaches Phase 1 launch.
Advisor
Eliott Méa — Strategic Advisor
Eliott Méa is a prominent researcher and contributor within the Kaspa ecosystem, with deep specialisation in oracles, DeFi infrastructure, and mathematical finance. He provides strategic guidance on consensus-native financial design — specifically on the intersection of Kaspa's blockDAG architecture and decentralised market microstructure. Eliott's expertise directly informs Aporia's EigenFlow theoretical framework and vProg integration strategy.
Why this team can execute?
The central challenge of building a parallel-native DEX is that it sits at the intersection of two demanding domains: high-performance exchange engineering and novel blockchain market microstructure. Very few teams have deep operational experience in either. Aporia's founding pair — a former Bitget senior engineer and an exchange business development veteran — represent a direct overlap of these two capabilities, augmented by a research advisor with first-principles expertise in the specific consensus architecture Aporia is built upon.
